Discover Our StoryThe Secret Place was born and initiated on 27 June 2010 during a prayer session and held its first Sunday interdenominational fellowship and prayer session with a dedicated group of young people committed to abiding in God's presence on 4 July 2010. We committed to daily 12am prayer chains and Monday fasts. Our journey is inspired by the profound truths found in Psalm 91, a testament to the authority we have as sons and daughters to dwell in the secret place of the Most High.
We believe in God who desires to encounter His people just as He did in the scriptures. We are a people of the New Covenant, saved by grace through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. We believe in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, empowering us to live a supernatural life of divine health, prosperity, and authority. Our righteousness is a gift, not a result of our works, and we are called to walk in the fullness of our identity as sons and daughters of God. We are passionate about accessing the spirit realm and cultivating intimate encounters with the Father, living from the reality of our co-heirship with Christ.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the secret place Himself. He is the ultimate fulfillment of the promise found in Psalm 91. In the Old Covenant, the 'secret place of the Most High' referred to the Holy of Holies, a physical space where God's presence dwelled, accessible only once a year by the High Priest. Through Christ's finished work on the cross, the veil was torn, granting us direct and permanent access to God's presence. Jesus is our new and living way, our sanctuary, and our eternal hiding place. It is in Him that we find security, rest, and intimate communion with the Father.
We believe we are assigned to raise up a generation of believers who live from a place of spiritual authority, engaging with the realities of heaven on earth.
Our vision is to experience spiritual realities and walk in the authority demonstrated by men like Enoch, Moses, Elijah, and John.
To walk so closely with God that the veil between heaven and earth becomes thin, and we are caught up in His presence.
To have intimate, face-to-face encounters with God, being transformed by His glory and receiving His heart for the people.
To demonstrate the power and authority of the Kingdom, partnering with the Holy Spirit to see miracles and divine reversals.
To be a church that is not only "in the Spirit" but also receives direct revelation from heaven, like John on the island of Patmos.
Our mission is to equip believers to live a life of spiritual purpose and power. We focus on cultivating a deep, intimate relationship with God, understanding our position of authority in Christ, and embracing our true identity as sons and daughters.
