The Stewardship of Mysteries Series: The Steward of Mysteries
Good morning brethren.
This week, we're diving into the intersection of faith and innovation, exploring how our spiritual life can directly impact our work as founders and creators. Today, our focus is on a powerful verse that redefines our role in the world:
"Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God." - 1 Corinthians 4:1
As humanity, we're often consumed with solving problems, building products, and scaling businesses. We see ourselves as engineers, designers, and entrepreneurs. But this verse challenges us to adopt a higher identity: stewards of the mysteries of God.
What are these "mysteries"? They are not just complex theological concepts. I believe they are the hidden solutions to the world's most pressing problems. They are the innovative ideas, the breakthroughs in technology, and the revolutionary business models that have yet to be revealed.
As a steward, you don't own the mystery; you're simply entrusted with it. Your job is to take care of it, nurture it, and reveal it to the world at the right time. This perspective transforms our work from a pursuit of personal gain into a divine mission. We are not just building companies; we are unlocking God-given solutions for humanity.
This mindset frees you from the pressure of having to generate every single idea on your own. It shifts the burden from your shoulders to a higher source. It’s an act of faith to believe that the very solutions you seek are already available, waiting for the right person to steward them.
So, as you start your day, let this verse guide you. See yourself not just as a founder, but as a steward of God's mysteries. Ask Him to reveal the solutions you need to solve the problems in your business and in the world.
Let's pray.
Amen.
