The Entrepreneurial Anointing Series: God is the Ultimate Creator
Good morning bretheren.
As we kick off a new series, I want us to shift our perspective on the work we do. We often see ourselves simply as tech founders, engineers, and entrepreneurs. But this morning, I want to talk about a deeper, more profound identity: that our creative ability is a direct reflection of God Himself.
Our key verse for this week is from a surprising place, the book of Exodus, where God is commissioning a craftsman named Bezalel:
"And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship" - Exodus 31:3
Think about that. God didn't just give Bezalel a set of instructions; He filled him with His own Spirit to do the work. The very same Spirit that hovered over the waters in Genesis to bring order and form to the chaos is at work in us today.
Our ability to write code, design user interfaces, architect complex systems, and build scalable businesses is not a random skill. It is an anointing. It is the Spirit of God filling us with "wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship."
As entrepreneurs, we are in the business of creation. We are taking abstract ideas and giving them form. We are solving problems by bringing new things into existence. In doing so, we are participating in a divine inheritance. We are image-bearers of the Ultimate Creator.
This understanding elevates our work from a mere job to an act of worship. It means that every line of code, every design decision, and every business strategy is an opportunity to express the creative nature of God within us. This perspective provides not just inspiration, but also an incredible source of peace, knowing that the source of our ability is infinite and unwavering.
So, as you step into this new week, see your work not just as a professional obligation but as a divine calling. Embrace the truth that you have been filled with the Spirit of God for this very purpose—to create, to build, and to innovate.
Let's pray.
Amen.
